CUSTOM ENGRAVING STEP 1: CUSTOMIZE
 

Every item has been calculated for the maximum number of lines available for engraving AND each line has been calculated for the maximum number of characters.

You do not have to fill every line with text. Simply check the “no text after this line” box.

Every item will be individually designed to proportionately fit the engraving information.

Common Text box: Check this box for each line you wish to enter text to be engraved. If this is for multiple items, enter the text that will be the same on all of the items.
 
Available Characters: This box keeps track of the number of letters and spaces remaining.

Logo on this line: If you would like to engrave a logo at a specific location in the layout, check this box and the “upload your logo” tab will appear below. The web site allows only one logo per item. If you require more than one logo per item, please contact us.

Individual Text on this lineWhen ordering a multiple of an item, check this box to indicate which line(s) you want to have personalized engraving information. You will enter this text on Step 2.

NOTE: If you require additional lines of individual text from one item to the next, you will need to order the items individually or grouped according to the number of individual text lines you require.

For example, if your first item is for “John Doe” and your second item is for  “Jane Doe” with a second line for her title of “Office Manager” you will need to order them separately.

 
No text after this line: Check this box when you’ve finished entering your engraving information for Step 1 and there are empty text boxes remaining.

Save & ContinueOnce you have entered all the information for this step, click here to continue  to the next step. You can return to this step to make changes by clicking on the tab at the top of the page. Then click on “Save & Continue” to save your changes.

 

CUSTOM ENGRAVING STEP 2:  INDIVIDUAL TEXT

On this step all of the text boxes for each item are displayed.  Only the lines where you checked “individual text on this line” in Step 1 are available for text entry.  You may need to scroll down the page to enter the text for all of the items.

You may choose to leave a line blank for an item.  A warning box will ask you if you intended to leave the line blank.  On your final piece this will show up as a blank space.  If you want the item to have only the text from Step 1 and designed accordingly with no blank spaces, you will need to order the item(s) separately.

NOTE:  If you require additional lines of individual text from one item to the next, you will need to order the items individually or grouped according to the number of individual text lines you require.

CUSTOM ENGRAVING LOGO UPLOAD/SELECT

If you’re going to have a logo engraved, it is recommended that you set up an account.  This way you can access your uploaded logos on future orders without paying a set-up fee on every order.

If we already have your logo in our files and it’s not in your online account folder, please contact us at [email protected] or at 1-800-679-1990. 

In order to translate your logo so that it can be engraved, the artwork must be in black and white (no grays). The website accepts only vector formatted artwork.  Digital artwork is either in a vector format or a raster format (or a combination of both).  Vector art is made up of solid lines and curves while raster art is made up of dots or pixels.  The most common vector art formats are .cdr (Corel Draw)  and .ai (Adobe Illustrator).  If you’re certain that your artwork is vector and is not .cdr or .ai, you can download the file as an .eps (Encapsulated Post Script) or a .pdf (Adobe Reader) file.

Select from Previous Logo Art:  Clicking here will take you to your logos in the “My Account” area. Your logos are grouped either by “Custom Engraving” or “Promotional Imprinting”.  Custom engraving logos are not available for imprinting and vice versa; they must be downloaded separately.

Once your engraving logo is set up for engraving, it can be reused on any engraving job. (Imprinting logos require a new setup charge each time they are used.)  Simply check the box below the logo you’d like to have engraved on the item you have selected.

Name Your Logo:  A helpful hint in naming your logo is to give it a short and simple name that is easily recognizable and relates to your logo.  If there are various designs of your logo (i.e. one is just the artwork and one has specific type with the artwork) you’ll want to distinguish the logo differences in the name.

Describe anything we should know about your logo:  For example: This logo is the most recent update as of January 1st, 2015, etc.


Browse Your Computer to Find Your Logo Art and Upload It: Clicking this button opens an upload 'dialogue' window with a view of the folders on your computer. Simply navigate to the location of your logo file and select it to upload it for this order

 

CUSTOM ENGRAVING STEP 3: PREVIEW

This step shows you the information you have entered for engraving and allows you to edit from this screen.  Click “Edit” next to the line you wish to change and a pop-up box will appear where you can enter your new information.  Or click on the tab for Step 1 or Step 2 and change your information from there.

You can request one complimentary proof of the layout to be sent to you via fax or e-mail. Please be advised that a delay in proof approval may impact your delivery date.  Don’t forget to enter your fax number at the checkout or in “My Account”.

Click on “Save & Continue” to return to the Shopping Cart.
